The Pep Club at East Los Angeles College Consists of two groups of dedicated, committed, and talented young women and men.  Annual auditions are held in the spring for both teams.  Both groups practice up to three days a week, two hours a day, during the academic year.  Throughout the summer/winter breaks they continue to practice and gain experience through private clinics, camps and outside choreographers.
The cheerleading squad is the first half of the pep club.  There are currently fifteen members, all of which maintain high academic averages, participate in all home football games, basketball games, pep rallies and numerous community events.
The second half of the pep club is the dance team.  The dance team is currently a twelve member performance dance group that participates at all events that the East Los Angeles Dance Department presents.  This past year, our dance team competed at an international competition and was awarded second place out of over 150 teams from all over the world.
